OXNARD : Ordinance Would Regulate Bus Benches
Bus companies would no longer be allowed to place benches on the streets of Oxnard, under an ordinance to be considered by the City Council on Tuesday.
If adopted, the ordinance would prohibit the placement or replacement of bus benches by anyone except the city and would require the removal of all bus benches that contain advertising by March, 1997.
All benches throughout the city would be replaced by ones designed and owned by the city by March, 1998.
