John LeClair, returning to Montreal for the first time since being traded to Philadelphia two weeks ago, had the second three-goal game of his career to spark the Flyers to a 7-0 triumph over the Canadiens on Saturday night.

Flyer goalie Ron Hextall made 18 saves for his first shutout of the season and 10th of his career.

Defenseman Eric Desjardins, also part of the trade, scored the Flyers’ sixth goal.

LeClair, along with Desjardins and forward Gilbert Dionne, was sent to the Flyers for right wing Mark Recchi.
