Publication Honors College Business Education Program
The business education program at Oxnard College has been honored by Business Digest, a publication that covers business in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
The college was nominated for a 1995 Best of Business Education award.
Priscilla de Garcia, director of the college’s re-entry center, was nominated for a Business Person of the Year award.
Elise Schneider, college president, represented the school at an awards dinner at the Colony Harbortown Marina Resort Hotel in Ventura.
Also honored was Channel Islands Financial & Insurance Services, a Ventura firm operated by Mary Ellen and Jerry Harwood.
The company, which provides services in such areas as retirement plans, investments and insurance, was named Business of the Year in the financial services category.
