The widow of an alleged drug dealer described details of a narcotics ring in which she said Ram cornerback Darryl Henley guaranteed hundreds of thousands of dollars for cross-country cocaine shipments.

Denise Manning testified in Santa Ana that her husband, Eric, who was shot to death in September, 1993, outside their Covina home, told her about the alleged drug ring, including his role in setting up three cocaine shipments to Memphis and Atlanta in the summer of 1993.

Henley has pleaded not guilty to federal drug conspiracy charges.

Four Washington State football players--tight end David Knuff and offensive linemen Mark McCloskey, Scott Sanderson and Ryan McShane--were suspended from the team indefinitely for their roles in a Sunday Frat Row brawl on campus. Knuff, 21, of Huntington Beach, was booked for investigation of fourth-degree assault, rioting, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. He was later released.

Five of France’s top jockeys went on trial in Senlis, France, accused of dealing in heroin and cocaine or using the drugs to keep their weight down and ease stress.
