HUNTINGTON BEACH : Committee to Oversee Development Created
A Development Assistance Committee has been established by the city to oversee issues involving new developments.
The committee meets weekly and is made up of representatives from city departments that include planning, building, traffic engineering, water, fire, economic development, community services and parks.
“It is the front-line level of the development process,” said Ray Silver, assistant city administrator. “We have our personnel working together to accomplish two things: one is to assist applicants to develop their projects in a timely manner, and the second is to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of our permit process.”
