Verbum Dei 94, San Diego Lincoln Prep 70--Phillip Blackmon and Andre Smith scored 17 points each and Hasani Acklin added 15 as Verbum Dei (25-5) overpowered the undersized Hornets (23-10), in the Southern Regional final at Cal State Fullerton.
The Eagles outscored the Hornets 29-16 in the second quarter to take a 45-32 lead.
The Eagles increased their margin to 73-51 after three quarters, highlighted by a 35-footer at the buzzer by Smith.
Kenny Davis scored 14 for Lincoln.
