NEWPORT BEACH : Leadership Awards Nominees Announced
Leadership Tomorrow, a political leadership organization in Newport Beach, will have its second annual Excellence in Leadership Awards program April 4.
Awards are divided into three categories. Nominees for community and public service volunteer honors are: Anne Crane, vice president and general manager of Irvine-based Meyer Hof’s Cuisine; Mark Gaughan, San Diego Gas & Electric Co. governmental affairs director; Patty Baugh, a community volunteer; Phil Glasgow, a Newport Beach Parks, Beaches and Recreation commissioner; City Councilwoman Norma Glover; Gregg Schwenk, a senior research associate at Geneva Corp. who has served on several Newport Beach committees; Richard Squar, an accountant, and Jamie Trevor, owner Electrosolve Services and president-elect of the UCI Athletic Foundation.
For community and public service professional, nominees are: Roy Alvarado, a Newport-Mesa Unified School District anti-gang counselor; City Councilwoman Janice A. DeBay; Mary MacIntyre of the Fieldstone Foundation, and Cynthia McCue, director of resource development for Episcopal Service Alliance.
In the career leadership category, nominees are: Pat Anthony, director of BusinessLink at Orange Coast College; Jason Hartman, an Irvine real estate agent; Tom Johnson, former Newport Beach assistant librarian; and Paul Snyder, superintendent of the Coastline Regional Occupational Program.
The ceremony in the BankAmerica Gallery at 555 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and will include a keynote address by Orange County Supervisor Marian Bergeson.
