THE PREPS : Garden Grove Battles to Beat Pacifica
Mike McDonald had a two-run single in the ninth inning to break a tie as visiting Garden Grove scored three times in the inning to beat Pacifica, 7-4, in a Garden Grove League baseball game Friday.
Pacifica (4-5, 1-1) scored in the first inning and Garden Grove tied it with a run in the sixth.
Neither team scored in the seventh. In the eighth, Gabe Maldanado had a two-run double and Garden Grove (4-5, 2-0) added another run to take a 4-1 lead.
Pacifica came back to tie by scoring three runs in its half of the eighth on a two-run double by Alex Murray and an RBI single by Kasey Chapman.
