Countywide : Red Cross Seeks Cash to Aid Flood Victims

Share

The Red Cross is seeking cash donations to help flood victims in especially hard-hit areas of Northern California, a spokeswoman said.

Flooding has displaced or otherwise seriously affected more than 4,400 families in 15 counties. The Red Cross continues to provide meals, shelter and counseling to those in need, spokeswoman Judy Iannaccone said.

The organization has spent about $4.5 million to provide relief to stricken families but has received less than $2 million in donations earmarked to help defray that cost, she said.
