BALDWIN HILLS : Multicultural Fair Will Be Held Today

The Multicultural Renaissance Faire, a benefit for the Consolidated Realty Board and the American Diabetes Assn., will be held today, with 60 booths offering food, games, pony rides, live music and other attractions.

Fair-goers are encouraged to dress in attire representing cultures and periods. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Actress and entrepreneur Marla Gibbs, Operation Hope director John Bryant, recording artist Alicia Farinas and the acting troupe the Theatre Rascals are among those scheduled to speak and perform at the event.

Proceeds go toward a building fund for the Consolidated Realty Board, an organization of black real estate professionals, and the American Diabetes Assn.

The fair is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Consolidated Realty Board, 3725 Don Felipe Drive. Admission is free.
