FCC Postpones Children’s TV Ruling: As expected, the agency voted to seek additional comment on a proposal that broadcasters air a minimum number of hours of educational programming for children. Federal Communications Commission officials declined to specify how many hours should be required each day, but they said they would also seek input on other ways to improve children’s television, including a definition of what qualifies as an educational program. The current rule has been criticized as ambiguous.
