The Dodgers will inaugurate the long-awaited 1995 season April 25, when they play the Florida Marlins on ESPN at Joe Robbie Stadium.

The Dodgers will play two games against the Marlins, return home for an off-day, and open their home schedule at 7:05 p.m. Friday, April 28, against the Atlanta Braves in the first of a three-game series.

Season-ticket holders will receive free tickets to the home opener, and individual tickets for that game will be reduced to 1958 prices--$3.50 for box seats, $2.50 for reserved seats and $1.50 for pavilion and top deck seats.

The other changes on the Dodger schedule: Instead of off-days, they now will play road games June 1 against the Atlanta Braves and Aug. 17 against Cincinnati and a home game July 19 against the Houston Astros.

“It looks good to me,” said Fred Claire, Dodger executive vice president. “It’s a fast track.”

The Angels will open at home on Wednesday, April 26, against the Detroit Tigers. They will take one day off, travel to Toronto for a four-game series, then return home against the Oakland Athletics on May 2.
