SMALL FACES: Looks like we can forget about the Clash reunion for Lollapalooza ’95. Mick Jones, the group’s guitarist, has just finished the latest album with his band Big Audio. It’s due in June, with a B.A. tour set to follow. However, he and former Clash-mate Joe Strummer have reportedly been writing songs together and the Lollapalooza organizers have made the reunion offer stand for ’96. . . .

Former Concrete Blonde leader Johnette Napolitano is putting finishing touches on her solo debut album for Warner Bros. Records. But before that’s released, she’s got a duo album with Holly Beth Vincent (ex-Holly & the Italians) titled “Vowel Movement” and due May 9. . . .

Next up from the AIDS-related Red Hot Organization is an alternative-rock set titled “Red Hot + Bothered,” with new songs by Freedom Cruise (a collaboration of Guided by Voices and the Breeders’ Kim and Kelley Deal), Lisa Germano, Yo La Tengo, Archers of Loaf and others. The material will first be released on four limited-edition 10-inch vinyl EPs and then collected into a CD with several more bonus tracks, due in October through Kinetic Records.
