“There’s Life After the Finish Line for Greyhounds” (March 30) tells of one man’s efforts in Connecticut to rescue ex-racing greyhounds and place them in homes as pets. Readers should be aware that the same efforts are going on much closer to home.
Greyhound Pets of America/California chapter is based in San Diego County. We’re a nonprofit, all-volunteer group dedicated to rescuing greyhounds from being destroyed, and finding loving homes for the dogs throughout California and Nevada.
For information about our unique rescue-and-adoption program, readers should call toll-free (800) 366-1472.
