CYPRESS : Volunteer Sought for Vector Control Board
The City Council is seeking a volunteer to represent Cypress on the board of trustees of the Orange County Vector Control District.
The district covers all of Orange County. Its mission is to control rats, flies and mosquitoes and to protect residents from spread of diseases carried by such pests.
The district’s board meets monthly on the third Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the district office in Garden Grove. Board members are paid $50 per meeting.
Applicants must live in the city and be registered voters.
Application forms may be obtained at the Personnel Office, Cypress City Hall, 5275 Orange Ave., weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The deadline for filing an application is April 28.
