Television: Television and film producer IndieProd Co. said it reached agreement with state-owned Vietnam Television to provide U.S. theatrical and TV production to the network for broadcast. The Los Angeles-based company said Daniel Melnick, IndieProd co-chairman, is in Vietnam to discuss programming. The company, which produced such films as “The Quick and the Dead” and “Roxanne,” recently merged with television producer Konigsberg Co. The deal is expected to allow Vietnam Television to expand its programming to include popular U.S. movies and TV shows in Vietnamese and English.

* Movies: Film producer Cinergi Pictures Entertainment filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in which it proposes to sell 3 million shares of common stock. The Santa Monica-based independent film company, which has a distribution deal with Walt Disney Co. and whose films include “Tombstone,” “The Color of Money” and the upcoming “The Scarlet Letter” and “Judge Dredd,” said it plans to use the proceeds to develop films for production and general corporate purposes. Cinergi’s stock closed at $9.3125 on Monday, down 12.5 cents, on the Nasdaq.
