SIMI VALLEY : Sign-Ups Begin for Toxic Waste Roundup
Does spring cleaning have you fretting over the old motor oil, antifreeze and furniture polish lying about your house?
Simi Valley’s Household Hazardous Waste Roundup will take those toxics off your hands.
Residents of Simi Valley and adjacent unincorporated areas of Ventura County are invited to make appointments to drop off their household hazardous waste free of charge.
The roundup is not until June 3, but space is limited and appointments are required.
Waste that will be accepted includes solvents, antifreeze, motor oil and filters, batteries, household chemicals, auto and furniture polishes and fluorescent light bulbs.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, residents may call the city’s Environmental Services Department at 583-6321.
