Right-handed reliever Rob Dibble, who apparently isn’t going to make the Chicago White Sox, is being shopped by General Manager Ron Schueler, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The possibility of trading for Dibble has been discussed by the Orioles, who would like insurance for veteran Doug Jones and rookie Armando Benitez.

The Sun reported the White Sox would dump Dibble for about $50,000. Dibble, 31, missed all of last year after undergoing shoulder surgery. He had been clocked at close to 100 m.p.h. during his heyday with the Cincinnati Reds. He pitched against the Orioles Saturday in Sarasota, Fla., and appeared to be throwing about 88-90 m.p.h.
