MOORPARK : Childrens Center Plans Discovery Day

Animals from a teaching zoo, a display of arts and crafts and a band performance will all be part of the scene today when the Moorpark College Child Development Center hosts its Discovery Day.
Preschool and elementary schoolchildren, along with their parents, have been invited to attend the festivities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center. Proceeds will go toward purchase of playground equipment for the center.
The activities will include blowing bubbles, painting, dramatic play and “digging for gold,” as well as a performance by the Sunshine Band. Pizza and soft drinks will be served.
The event costs $4 for children over 18 months and $1 for adults. For more information, call the Child Development Center at 378-4101.
