Company Town : Turner Pictures, Every Join in Production Deal

Turner Pictures animation executive Joy Every has entered into a producing deal with the company to bring animated features to Turner.

She had been a senior creative executive of feature animation development. Previously she had worked at Turner sister company Hanna-Barbera and was a creative executive in the feature animation area for Walt Disney Pictures.

* Clifford B. Alsberg was named senior vice president, television, for Porchlight Entertainment, to head the live action division.

* Renowned record producer Scott Hendricks has been named president and chief executive of Liberty Records, a division of EMI Records Group North America.

* Jan Nash was promoted to vice president, current programs, at Walt Disney Television.

* Former MCA Television Group Chairman Al Rush was named executive, special projects, for Paramount Television Group.

* Richard Bornstein is leaving as vice president of worldwide marketing for Samuel Goldwyn Co., effective today. Neil Dick, vice president of creative advertising, and Michelle Abbrecht, vice president of publicity, will share the duties in the interim.

* Film entertainment analyst David Davis has joined specialty investment banking firm Houlihan, Lokey Howard & Zukin, as senior associate.

* Liberty Records has named Walt Wilson executive vice president and general manager.

* DIC Entertainment has named Aaron Meyerson, executive producer of the film “Dumb and Dumber,” to run the animation company’s new motion picture division.

* Steve Ellman was promoted to vice president, national exhibitor relations, for Universal Pictures.
