MISSION VIEJO : KSBR Radio Plans Drive for Donations
Saddleback College radio station KSBR-FM will have an open house Saturday to kick off a weeklong pledge drive.
The 16-year-old jazz station hopes to raise $30,000 through May 13 and will be giving away gift certificates for merchandise, dinners and weekend trips to selected donors who call in and pledge support.
The money raised will be used to pay for the public radio station’s operating expenses and equipment costs and it will be tax deductible.
From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, listeners are invited to bring their favorite album, tape or compact disc and go “on air” like disc jockeys to introduce songs.
