SOLVANG--An eclectic showcase of live music and dance, and a variety of hands-on arts and crafts demonstrations are featured at the Solvang Music and Arts Festival, May 12-14. The festival kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Friday and performances and workshops continue 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. SANTA BARBARA--A full day of maritime activities is scheduled at the seventh annual Santa Barbara Harbor Festival, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. May 13 at the Santa Barbara yacht harbor on Cabrillo Street. Festivities include the traditional blessing of the fleet, marine exhibits and boat tours. Free. (805) 563-0003.

CLOVERDALE--Once again, homage is paid to “Black Bart”--the outlaw Charles Bolton who never fired a shot--at the Black Bart Days Festival, May 13-14. Featured: Live music, a model railroad display, arts and crafts, sheep dog trials and more. All-day festivities at the corner of North Cloverdale Boulevard and Broad Street end at midnight Saturday; 4 p.m. Sunday. Western dress encouraged. (707) 894-4470.

MONTEREY--Works by 64 artists are highlighted in the seventh annual Monterey County Artists’ Studio Tour, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. May 13-14. Visit studios all over the Monterey Peninsula area.
