Victim Identified as Bail Bondsman
Police on Monday identified a man found shot to death Sunday in a Van Nuys Boulevard bail bond company as Willie Litmanovich, the business’ owner.
Authorities said Litmanovich, 54, was found dead by a co-worker Sunday afternoon, shot several times in the torso.
Neighbors said Litmanovich had left his house about 3 a.m. Sunday to go to the office, Willie’s Bail Bonds, located just south of the Ventura Freeway. They described him as a cheery, joking man who helped repair homes damaged in the Northridge earthquake and never took his business home.
“He was a very happy man,” said Manni Maoz, who works at an auto repair shop down Van Nuys Boulevard from Litmanovich’s business. “A very memorable man.”
