Glendale police arrested a Los Angeles taxi driver and seized more than $10,000 cash from his home in connection with an investigation into a possible credit card fraud ring, authorities said.

Minas Kazarian, 45, was arrested this week at his home in the 1700 block of N. Garfield Place in Los Angeles, after police obtained a warrant to search his apartment and found equipment believed to have been used in the illegal recoding of stolen credit cards, according to a police report.

Police spokesman Chahe Keuroghelian said Kazarian was arrested in connection with crimes that occurred in Glendale, but he would not reveal details of the investigation. Keuroghelian did say that police may be seeking one or more additional suspects in the case.

In addition to the cash and computers, police also found directions on how to use a credit card swiper--the device used to recode credit cards--and pieces of paper on which more than 1,000 credit card account numbers had been written, according to the report.

Also found were several cellular phones with stolen billing account numbers and more than 50 cartons of cigarettes with illegal tax stamps, police said.
