FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Student Project Planned for Growth
As part of a student landscape project, seven new trees will be planted at 10 a.m. today on the Valley Vista High School campus, 9600 Dolphin St.
The trees are being donated by New Urban West/Seacliff Partners, which has a business-education partnership with the school district.
School officials said the landscaping project involved a mix of math, biology, geography and graphic design.
“Under the guidance of a math and geography instructor at the school, students drew scale drawings of the courtyard and school exterior, designating conceptual placement of the trees,” said a spokeswoman for Seacliff Partners. “Soil samples were taken, and students learned the results of the soil samples as well as indications for any soil amendments that may be required for long-term successful growth.”
