GLENDALE : Poll on Health Issues Coming to Churches

Share

Glendale officials will survey local churchgoers this Saturday and Sunday in hopes of collecting data to help win a “healthy city” designation from the state.

Congregations of participating churches will be polled on health-related trends and on the availability of various health services in Glendale.

The data will be incorporated into a larger citywide survey, which will be used to help create health-service partnerships among local health care providers and organizations serving seniors, the poor and other groups, officials said.

That plan, in turn, will be submitted to the California Healthy Cities Project for consideration of the “healthy city” designation, which is given to cities with exemplary health care resources, officials said.
