A 28-year-old man was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder in the robbery-killing of a grocer.

Willie Talos faces life in prison without parole in the Feb. 4, 1993, beating death of Hyung Soo Kim.

The 69-year-old victim was lured out of his store in the 6200 block of South San Pedro Street by a 13-year-old, who told the grocer someone was writing on the wall. Talos then beat Kim, leaving him unconscious, and robbed the store. The grocer died of his injuries the next day.
