If Elected, Serve!
People who are elected should be mandated to complete the term of the office they were elected to before they can run for another elected position.
I worked at the last two special elections for the people who ran for the office vacated by former state Sen. Marian Bergeson. In the first one, no one got over 50% of the vote so there was a runoff May 9. The expense of the two elections was estimated to be $375,000. Four of us sat for 13 hours and 61 people voted in the first election, On May 9, 43 people voted.
This is ridiculous.
If you get elected, serve your term or pay for the special election. Gov. Wilson, please, listen up.
