The decision came from Rick Crow without any hesitation.

When Brian Kelly’s car was deemed unqualified for the Late Model main event because of an undisclosed engine problem, Crow loaned his car to Kelly.

And how did Kelly show his appreciation?

He was involved in crash on Lap 37 when Gerrit Cromsigt and Craig Reyburn sandwiched him going into Turn 3.

Crow didn’t seem too concerned about the mishap. “It’s a chance you take,” he said. “Hey we’re buddies and it will get fixed. Brian would do the same thing for me.”

Rich Ocheltree won the 40-lap main and Scott Dinger finished second.

Kelley, who was the points leader in the Late Model division, was thankful for Crow’s gesture.

“I owe Rick big time,” he said. “I got out of the car and saw that it was destroyed and he’s happy that I finished sixth. It’s nice to have friends like that.”

Brian Horst won his second checkered flag by winning the Pure Stock main event.

Horst took the lead on Lap 2 and easily outdistanced a depleted field.
