WOODLAND HILLS : Businessman Named to Clinton Arts Panel
A Woodland Hills businessman who is also involved in politics has been appointed to serve on President Clinton’s Advisory Committee on the Arts.
Sim Farar, the founder of JDF Investments and the director of IFC Financial Services, will serve on the committee that was founded in 1958 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The committee comprises civic and cultural leaders who act as advisers to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. The announcement of the appointment was made by Kennedy Center officials earlier this week.
Members of the advisory committee are called upon to share their views on the center’s artistic programming with the arts center’s board.
Farar also serves as national chairman for U. S. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.)
