Holiday DUI Arrests Reach 20 in County
As of 6 p.m. Monday, the California Highway Patrol had arrested 20 suspected drunk drivers in Ventura County during a beefed-up holiday weekend enforcement effort that began at 6 p.m. Friday.
The maximum enforcement period was scheduled to end at midnight Monday, officials said.
Last year, during that 78-hour enforcement period, CHP officers arrested 28 suspected drunk drivers, officials said.
