About 2,000 runners and walkers are expected today for the 14th Annual Corona del Mar Scenic 5K and 2-Mile Fun Walk.

The event, organized by the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by the Newport Beach Community Services Department, raises money to revitalize the Corona del Mar business district and to support youth sports programs.

The race, along Ocean Boulevard, Seaview Avenue and Bayside Drive, will be followed by a food fair at which local restaurateurs will offer samples of various cuisines.

Race-day registration is $25 and begins at 6:30 a.m. Race starts are at 8 a.m. at Heliotrope Avenue and Ocean Boulevard.

Information: (714) 644-3151.
