Graduation: Eastin Will Speak at College Ceremony
State Supt. of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin will be the speaker at Santa Monica College’s graduation ceremony on June 13.
Eastin was formerly the chairwoman of the Assembly’s Education Committee. As superintendent, she oversees state regulations on education and serves on various boards and commissions that affect educational policy.
About 400 students will receive their associate of arts degrees at the ceremony, scheduled for 6 p.m. in the school amphitheater, 1900 Pico Blvd.
