Family Comes Up Big With Trophy-Sized Bass
On the list at the Lake Casitas tackle store are six family members from Santa Paula who have caught trophy-sized largemouth bass since May 30.
The most recent is Terry Thigpen, who on Sunday reeled in a 10-pound 15-ounce largemouth. He followed Larry and Dan, who teamed to catch bass weighing 9-8, 7-8 and 6-8. Then there was Rod, who caught bass weighing 10, eight and seven pounds; Linda, who weighed in with one 6-9 and another 4-8; and Todd, who had a 10-pounder.
“I think they’re all brothers and sisters,” said lake manager Randy King. “I don’t know if there’s an aunt or an uncle thrown in, but they’re quite a group.”
