Simi Valley police Wednesday were searching for two masked gunmen who robbed a fast-food restaurant after hitting and tying up two janitors.
The robbers, wearing bandannas over their faces, entered the McDonald’s on Los Angeles Avenue about 4 a.m. Tuesday, after it had closed, through a door the janitors had left unlocked, police said. They struck the janitors before binding and gagging the men with tape.
The robbers escaped on foot with an undetermined amount of money and were last seen running north on Los Angeles Avenue.
The workers were treated at Simi Valley Hospital and released.
