CITY OF INDUSTRY : 2 Found Dead in Apparent Gang-Related Shootings
Two men were shot to death in an apparently gang-related attack in a park in the City of Industry area, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said Friday.
A scavenger sorting through trash at Bassett Park discovered the bodies about 5:15 a.m. Friday. Each man had been shot in the upper body at least once, sheriff’s spokeswoman Benita Hinojos said.
“Detectives believe the victims were shot at the location some time during the preceding hours of darkness,” Hinojos said.
Residents told reporters they heard shots about 4 a.m.
The names of the men were withheld pending notification of their relatives.
