Communities: News From ‘Culver City’ Isn’t
I was extremely disappointed to once again read misinformation about Culver City in the Los Angeles Times, this time in the Westside, June 8. The article labeled “Culver City” news is actually about the Mar Vista section of Los Angeles and not about Culver City.
Both the Mar Vista Gardens, owned by the Los Angeles City Housing Authority, and the Mar Vista Family Center are located in Los Angeles.
Portions of the Mar Vista section of the 6th District of Los Angeles, represented by Councilwoman Ruth Galanter, have a Culver City ZIP code but are not in Culver City.
Culver City residents and business people deserve to be informed about news in their own city, and no one should be misled about what jurisdiction a project or activity is in and who is responsible for it.
