THOUSAND OAKS : Officers, Celebrities in Charity Ballgame
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department will take on 12 celebrity sluggers this afternoon at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.
Kristy McNichol and Jeremy Miller--who played Ben Seaver on the television series “Growing Pains”--will be among the 12 television stars at the Celebrity Softball Game, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise.
Proceeds will benefit local charities, including D.A.R.E. and Interface. The game starts at 1 p.m. and costs $5. Children age 10 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.
