Share

Police were searching Sunday for two Ventura County gang members believed responsible for a shooting at an Oxnard graduation party that left two teen-agers critically injured and a third with a minor wound.

“We have an idea who did it, but we haven’t made any arrests yet,” Oxnard Police Detective Glenn Velo said Sunday. “But it shouldn’t be long.”

The shooting occurred about 1 a.m. Saturday when about a dozen youths believed to be from La Colonia crashed a back-yard graduation party on West Juniper Street, police said Saturday. A fistfight ensued, after which one of the youths drew a gun and shot three teen-agers, police said.
