Is there anyone over the age of 30 who has ever watched more than a dozen movies who has not seen this one? It’s a Bogart classic, not “great” in the way that, say, a Bogart movie like “Treasure of the Sierra Madre” is great, but a prime example of what the Hollwood studios were capable of concocting in their best dream factory mode. What’s astonishing in this current age of sequels and spin-offs is that Bogart, playing the most famous of all casino owners, never re-teamed in the movies with his co-star here, the luminous Ingrid Bergman. And so, because they only teamed once, they remain the Hollywood movie lovers par excellence, undimmed by repetiton (TNT Monday at 10:50 p.m.).
