Police Identify Slain Encino Man
PACOIMA —
Police on Monday identified an Encino man who was fatally shot as he hung out on his favorite Pacoima street corner.
An unknown man shot Jose Luis Ganica, 40, several times in the upper torso about 7:30 a.m. Sunday and then fled, Los Angeles Police Detective Frank Bishop said. Bishop said police have no suspects.
Ganica lived in Encino with his sister, but spent his days near the intersection of Oneida Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard in Pacoima, getting odd jobs, Bishop said.
