Call Threatening Clinton Leads to Marijuana Bust
Federal agents found a four-story Washington house filled with more than 200 marijuana plants when they traced a 911 emergency call threatening President Clinton, Secret Service spokesman Dave Adams said Sunday.
Adams said Barry Douglas Oliver, 44, was charged with threatening the President after admitting that he called 911 early Sunday morning. The caller said he had a “score to settle with President Clinton” and threatened to “cut him from ear to ear,” NBC affiliate WRC-TV reported.
Oliver and his housemate, James Rapp, were also charged with manufacturing, distributing and possession of narcotics, Adams said, adding that federal Drug Enforcement Agency officials found several jars containing mushrooms and were investigating to see if they were hallucinogenic.
In addition, they found equipment for drying the marijuana and packaging it, Adams said. Marijuana was growing on the roof of the house in the Mount Pleasant area.
