FileNet Corp.: The Costa Mesa software and information storage products company reported profit of $4.7 million, or 38 cents per share, for the second quarter ended July 2, up from the $4.1 million, or 35 cents per share, posted for the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $53.8 million, up 20% from the $44.9 million reported for the same quarter in 1994. For the six-month period ended July 2, profit was $8.7 million, or 71 cents a share, compared to $6.5, or 56 cents a share, at the half-year mark in 1994. The six-month revenue total was $100.4 million, a 20% increase from the $83.7 million reported for the same period of 1994.
