Three suspects in the armed robbery of a Canoga Park pizza restaurant were arrested as they drove away from the scene of the crime, police said.

Broughton Kendell, 18, and Juliano Franco, were held on suspicion of robbery at the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Valley station, said Lt. Thomas Kirk.

The name of the third suspect, a girl under 18, was not released.

Kirk said that a man and a woman wearing masks went into Canoga Pizza, in the 8000 block of Canoga Avenue, about 11:20 p.m. Friday. One brandished a gun and demanded money from the cash register, Kirk said. Before joining a getaway driver parked outside, the two also took cash from six patrons, he said.

The group made off with about $200 from the cash register and about $50 to $60 from the customers, said restaurant Manager Edmond Vartanyan.

“We were scared, [so] we didn’t do anything,” Vartanyan said. “What could we do? They had a gun.”
