Two Encino men convicted of first-degree murder after shooting an alleged drug dealer and setting his body on fire in a car have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms, according to prosecutors.

Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Michael Harwin on Tuesday sentenced Michael Wilfred Wells, 46, to a term of 29 years to life in the May 13, 1994, death of 24-year-old Oscar Landeros.

Last Thursday, Harwin sentenced Michael Sam Casamento, 35, to 25 years to life for the crime.

Wells and Casamento were convicted May 25 of murder, Deputy Dist. Atty. Richard F. Walmark said.

Landeros, who was visiting the apartment complex where Wells and Casamento lived, was shot several times in the head and chest. His body was dumped down a garbage chute, stuffed into the trunk of a car and driven to an auto supply store at Reseda Boulevard and Saticoy Street, police said.

There, the car was set afire. The manager of the auto parts store found the car the next morning, police said.
