The Secret Garden

(G) This recent film retells the classic children’s story of a lonely girl who finds joy and imagination in a garden near her uncle’s dreary British manor. Francis Ford Coppola, who produced, teamed with respected European director Agnieszka Holland to make this one. Screens Friday at dusk (8 to 8:30 p.m.) as part of Golden West College’s outdoor family film series. (NR) Nuclear disaster looms comically in this 1964 classic directed by Stanley Kubrick. It’s us against the Russians, and the tension creates several memorable performances, especially by Peter Sellers in a handful of quirky roles. Also featured are George C.
