Delay of Suspension Means Schvaneveldt Trains Tonight
Trainer Blane Schvaneveldt received a four-day stay of his 30-day suspension, allowing him to start horses in tonight’s races at Los Alamitos.
Entries for tonight’s races were taken Saturday, before Schvaneveldt’s suspension went into effect. This will be the final night Schvaneveldt is allowed to start horses until his suspension ends on Aug. 29.
Schvaneveldt, Los Alamitos’ leading trainer, was suspended for substituting one horse for another in a morning workout.
Schvaneveldt’s brother, Phil, who has been training on the Northern California fair circuit, will manage the Schvaneveldt barn and has horses entered Friday night.
