Security Door Controls Moves Across County Line
Security Door Controls, a producer of electronic safety devices, is moving from Los Angeles County to Ventura County. But the company will remain in Westlake Village, portions of which lie in each county.
Security, whose fire safety and burglary-prevention products have been installed in buildings throughout the nation, has leased a 16,000-square-foot plant on Willow Lane.
The relocation will provide the company with 75% more space than it has at its current headquarters on La Baya Drive. About 50 employees are scheduled to move into the newly renovated Willow Lane building in October.
Both Security and the building’s owner, T.R. Funding of Westlake Village, were represented in the leasing transaction by Westcord Westoaks Commercial Group, also of Westlake Village. The lease is valued at $600,000.
