Obituaries : * Goldie Weisstein; Retired LAUSD Nurse
Goldie Weisstein, a 25-year Ventura County resident, died in her home Monday. She was 84.
Mrs. Weisstein was born Oct. 2, 1910, in Warsaw, Poland. She moved to Ventura from Sherman Oaks, where she had been a registered nurse. Mrs. Weisstein worked as a registered nurse for 35 years before retiring in 1970 from the Los Angeles Unified School District. She was a member of several organizations in Ventura County, including Temple Beth Torah in Ventura.
Mrs. Weisstein was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Theodore Weisstein, in 1991. She is survived by her sister, Anne Weisstein, of Los Angeles. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Beth Torah, 7620 Foothill Road, Ventura 93004.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
