A man wearing red lipstick and a long, curly wig claimed he was carrying a bomb as he held up a restaurant at gunpoint and made off with about $3,000, authorities said Friday.
The man was sitting in a booth of the Red Robin Restaurant in the 24000 block of Calabasas Road in Calabasas about 9:50 Thursday morning when he presented the manager with a package that he said was a bomb, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Mary Olson.
Pulling out a gun, he forced the manager back into the office and took the receipts, then dashed out of the restaurant and fled in a red Volkswagen Jetta, she said.
